Protective coatings are a confusing and sometimes overwhelming sea of options.  It seems that every supplier has their own coating and they all claim that theirs is the best.  Simply put, most of them are not worth paying someone to apply them for you.  If you just want something on there and you're not very concerned about how long it lasts or how well it works then go to your local home improvement store or to the internet and pick up a bottle of  Enduro Shield or RainX for shower glass or whatever they have.  The fact is that there will be a laundry list of do's and don'ts that you wont be able to keep up with.  Resolve that you will re-apply annually and you wont place too much faith in the product.  And again, DO NOT pay anyone for something that gets applied to the glass post fabrication.
